On the agenda
As the city filed it
On March 6, 1834 the then Town of York was incorporated, an important historical moment which deserves to be recognized and celebrated. Now in its 185th year, it would be appropriate for the City to recognize March 6th, by declaring it as a date of significance for the City of Toronto. Declaring March 6th as Toronto's Day of Incorporation would be a positive way for all to acknowledge the City of Toronto's place in history and reflect on the advancements of the City Toronto as the fourth largest city in North America.
