City Council authorize the change in the total number of vehicular parking spaces to be provided from 19 to 18 in the draft Zoning By-law Amendments for the lands at 125, 129 and 131 O'Connor Drive and 1119 and 1121 Pape Avenue, attached as Attachments 8 and 9 to the report (August 28, 2015) from the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District [Item 2015.TE11.3].

2. City Council determine that no further notice is to be given in respect of the proposed by-law under section 34(17) of the Planning Act.

On November 3 and 4, 2015, City Council adopted Item TE11.3 to allow a new two-storey retail/commercial building with a gross floor area of 1,985 square metres at 125, 129 and 131 O'Connor Drive and 1119 and 1121 Pape Avenue. At the time that Item TE11.3 was adopted, the applicant proposed 19 vehicular parking spaces. As part of Item TE11.3, City Council required the owner to submit two documents prior to the introduction of Bills: a revised Functional Servicing Report and Stormwater Management Report to the satisfaction of the Executive Director, Engineering and Construction Services, and revised plans that ensure the protection of the Red Oak tree on the property, to the satisfaction of the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation.

The owner has submitted the requested documents, and City Planning Staff confirm that both Engineering and Construction Services and Urban Forestry are satisfied with the resubmission. In order to protect the Red Oak tree, the parking supply has been reduced from the previously agreed upon 19 parking spaces to 18 parking spaces. City Planning Staff have no concerns regarding this minor reduction. This Motion is brought forward to authorize the change in the total number of vehicular parking spaces provided from 19 to 18 in the draft Zoning By-law Amendment attached as Attachments 8 and 9 to the report (August 28, 2015) from the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District, and to determine that no further notice is to be given in respect of the proposed by-law under section 34(17) of the Planning Act. This Motion is urgent as the Bill cannot be introduced until this technical amendment is approved.
