City Council direct the General Manager, Economic Development to initiate a working group composed of staff from Transportation Services, the Toronto Transit Commission and the Economic Development and Culture Division, to work with the Toronto Chinatown Gate Heritage Association on a feasibility and implementation strategy for the Chinatown Gates. 2.

Chinatown Gates serve as a major tourist attraction for cities worldwide. Serving as a gateway to our community, residents across the City and visitors alike will come to Chinatown to visit, shop and take pictures with the Chinatown Gate.
