The decision

2019-11-26 · Toronto City Council · adopted

As filed

City Council on November 26 and 27, 2019, adopted the following: 1. City Council prohibit stopping at all times on the east side of Westlake Avenue, between Lumsden Avenue and a point 30.5 metres north.

On the agenda

As the city filed it

As the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates a transit service on Westlake Avenue, City Council approval of this report is required. Transportation Services is recommending amending the existing parking prohibition to a stopping prohibition on the east side of Westlake Avenue, between Lumsden Avenue and a point 30.5 metres north. The proposed amendment will deter parking at this location and will improve transit operations and vehicle movements by maintaining a clear passage for TTC vehicles.

Staff recommended

The Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services, recommends that: 1. City Council prohibit stopping at all times on the east side of Westlake Avenue, between Lumsden Avenue and a point 30.5 metres north.
