I received a petition from residents on Oakwood Avenue, between Earlsdale Avenue and Earnscliffe Road, requesting that both the 'no parking' 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the west side of Oakwood Avenue (Earlsdale Avenue to Earnscliffe Road) and the 'no parking' 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the east side of Oakwood (Earlsdale Avenue to Earnscliffe Road) be cancelled. Residents are asking for this change because unlike other major thoroughfares across the City, these 'no parking' rules are not in place to allow for an additional traffic lane during rush hours.

In other words, these parking prohibitions force them to move their cars during the prohibited parking times for no reason. The purpose of this motion is to rescind these 'no parking' regulations as requested by residents in their petition.
