My office has received reports of speeding and dangerous driving on Soho Street and Phoebe Street in the Grande Neighbourhood. This area is near an elementary school, a daycare, and contains bicycle lanes and heavy pedestrian traffic. After receiving the reports of speeding and dangerous driving, I received a petition for the installation of speed humps from local residents. I am requesting that this council waive the petition and polling requirements, and authorize the installation of traffic calming measures.
