This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City Policy or by-laws. At the request of Councillor Mike Layton, Transportation Services is reporting on the results of the traffic calming poll undertaken on Montrose Avenue, between College Street and Dundas Street West. The poll provided a response rate of less than the 50 percent plus one ballot required by the City Traffic Calming Policy needed to confirm that there is a favourable consensus in the community to install traffic calming measures.

Also, a support rate of at least 60 percent was not achieved. Accordingly, continuing the process to install speed humps on Montrose Avenue, between College Street and Dundas Street West, is not recommended.
