Requested the Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services, to investigate the feasibility of installing traffic calming measures on Alexander Street, between Yonge Street and Maitland Street, in the form of speed humps and report back in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Several local residents and representatives of the Church Wellesley Neighbourhood Association have observed serious safety risks with vehicles speeding and threatening pedestrian safety on Alexander Street between Yonge Street and Mutual Street. They have contacted me to request that speed mitigation measures be assessed to enhance safety in their residential community. Toronto is committed to achieving pedestrian and road safety through initiatives like Vision Zero.
