The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Requested Transportation Services staff to report to the December 3, 2019 meeting of the Toronto and East York Community Council on the following items: Reviewing signage; Additional Separation between the Cycle Lane and Traffic; Investigate if reversing the direction of Knox Avenue would reduce cut-through traffic; Curb Radius Reduction at Queen Street Eastd and Knox Avenue; and Additional speed humps between the existing humps.

Dear Chair and Members of the Toronto and East York Community Council, Knox Avenue is a one-way street in Ward 14 that connects Eastern Avenue and Queen Street. As such it experiences high volumes of traffic. It also has a contraflow cycle lane on it that connects to Eastern Avenue. The street has speed humps, but residents are interested in additional measures to slow down traffic and keep people safe.
