On December 3, 2019, with the adoption of Item TE11.73, Toronto and East York Community Council approved a reduction in the speed limit on Old Weston Road, between Davenport Road and Lavender Road, from 50 km/h to 40 km/h. The speed limit on the remaining stretch of Old Weston Road, between Lavender Road and Rogers Road, should also be reduced to 40 km/h.
