City Council on July 28 and 29, 2020, adopted the following: 1. City Council condemn these and all acts of hatred. 2. City Council request the Provincial Government and the Ontario Provincial Police to work in support of the Toronto Police Service in their efforts to find those responsible for these acts of hate and ensure the health and safety of all workers on construction sites.

Given that yesterday, July 28, a noose was found at the Eglinton Crosstown Construction Site at Dufferin and Eglinton and that this is the fifth such hideous and disgusting act of hate at construction sites across the City of Toronto in recent weeks, it is imperative that all efforts possible must be made to deal with these multiple acts of hate. Not only are these acts of hate on construction sites an attack on all residents
