At its meeting on June 29 and 30, 2020, City Council provided direction to take the next steps in planning and implementing a safe-seating plan, fencing and tree planting, and any other safety improvements deemed necessary at Maryport Parkette and de Havilland (Mossie) Park. This Motion requests authority from City Council to amend the Council Approved 2020 Capital Budget and 2021-2029 Capital Plan for Parks, Forestry and Recreation to create a new capital sub-project for improvements to Maryport Parkette and deHavilland (Mossie) Park, with a project cost of $0.120 million and cash flow commitments of $0.050 million in 2020 and $0.070 million in 2021 for the purposes of completing the aforementioned safety improvements.
