City Council on November 25 and 26, 2020, adopted the following: 1. City Council appoint Ron Carinci as Chair of the Create TO Board of Directors, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office effective November 26, 2020 and ending on December 31, 2021 and until a successor is appointed.

Dino Chiesa was appointed Chair of the CreateTO Board of Directors for a term ending December 31, 2021. Mr. Chiesa has recently been on a leave of absence from the Board. Ron Carinci, who has been Vice Chair of the CreateTO Board of Directors since February 15, 2019, has been Acting Chair in his absence. Effective November 24, 2020, Mr. Chiesa has returned from his leave, but has advised that he intends to stay on the Board only until City Council appoints a new Chair.

This Motion is urgent as City Council should appoint a new Chair of the CreateTO Board as soon as possible to ensure the orderly succession of the new Chief Executive Officer, the process for which has been initiated by the Board.
