The decision

2020-07-16 · Toronto and East York Community Council · adopted

As filed

The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Authorized compulsory all-way stop control at the intersection of Wales Avenue and Augusta Avenue.

On the agenda

As the city filed it

Residents of Kensington Market have requested a stop sign be installed at Augusta and Wales for northbound traffic to improve safety and calm traffic in the neighbourhood along Augusta Ave. Many people have observed wrong-way driving on Wales from northbound traffic turning left onto the street, and adding a stop sign would allow the one-way sign to be more visible. In addition, it will help slow the speed of through traffic on Augusta Ave.

The installation of a stop sign here would help improve road safety and is strongly supported by the community.
