On the agenda

As the city filed it

I am writing to you to request Community Council's support for a motion that is important to the constituents of the Toronto-St. Paul's ward, but one that could not be brought forward by staff due to the impacts of the pandemic on staff redeployments. The residents of Vesta Drive came to my office last June with concerns over safety at the intersection with Robinwood Avenue. My office requested Transportation Services to review the location, which resulted in some adjustments to the signage and roadway markings.

However, this did not address the concerns of the community fully and the residents followed up this year with a strong petition requesting improvements to the safety at the intersection, with a specific ask for all-way stop control. In order to help provide a safer environment for residents of these two local streets, I am moving the motion to approve the installation of all-way stop control at the intersection.

Staff recommended

Councillor Josh Matlow recommends that: 1. Toronto and East York Community Council authorize all-way stop control at the intersection of Vesta Drive and Robinwood Avenue.
