On the agenda

As the city filed it

I am writing to you to request Community Council's support for a motion that is important to the constituents of the Toronto-St. Paul's ward, but one that could not be brought forward by staff due to the impacts of the pandemic on staff redeployments. Last year, my office received a request to look into all-way stop control or a pedestrian crossover at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Macpherson Avenue. The request was based on the recent construction of a new affordable housing multi-residential building and the increased pedestrian activity around the intersection.

Based on a recent study Transportation Services staff determined that an all-way stop control at the intersection is warranted. This installation will enhance safety for all road users, and especially for pedestrians and cyclists, at this intersection.
