Ratification of the Appointment for the CreateTO Chief Executive Officer

Candidate Summary of Vic Gupta: Vic Gupta Mr. Gupta joined CreateTO in 2019 as Senior Vice President, Strategic Development and has most recently held the position of Executive Vice President, Strategic Development. During his time with the agency, Mr. Gupta helped to set the strategic direction of CreateTO as a member of the Executive Management Team and led a multi-disciplinary team that collaborates with partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage the City's real estate assets to deliver economic and community benefits. He was also responsible for the overall management of the Port Lands group. Mr. Gupta has extensive experience in the both the public and private sectors. He served as Principal Secretary to Mayor John Tory during the Mayor's first term in office. Prior to his time at City Hall, Mr. Gupta ran Prime Strategies Group, a successful public affairs consulting business that he founded in 1999. His company was acquired by Sussex Strategy Group in 2011 and he used that opportunity to run for elected office, running twice as a candidate for the Member of Provincial Parliament in the riding of Richmond Hill. Mr. Gupta has a strong focus on diversity, equity and inclusion and was a founding member and the executive sponsor of CreateTO's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. He received his B.A. Honours (Political Science) from the University of Western Ontario.
