City Council authorize the City Solicitor, with retroactive authority if required, to bring a motion seeking leave to intervene in the appeal of the Canadian Radio and Telecommunication's Review of Mobile Wireless Services, Telecom Regulatory Policy decision, CRTC 2021-130, dated April 15, 2021, at the Federal Court of Appeal, and to intervene in the appeal if granted leave by the Court.

The City Solicitor is seeking authority to approve a motion for leave to intervene in a Federal Court of Appeal case where the court will consider provisions of the Telecommunications Act relevant to telecommunications carriers' access to highways and other public places to construct, maintain and operate wireless telecommunications infrastructure.
