City Council on May 5 and 6, 2021, adopted the following: 1. City Council amend Part 2 of its decision on Item 2020.PH16.4 to add and adopt the following: ", except for applications with addresses in the Toronto and East York district which may be heard by a panel consisting of members that were appointed outside of the Toronto and East York district."

This Motion is in consideration of the need to implement measures that will more effectively address the backlog of Committee of Adjustment applications that exist in the Toronto and East York district due to the COVID-19 pandemic. REQUIRES RE-OPENING: Planning and Housing Committee Item PH16.4 (September 30, October 1 and 2, 2020 City Council meeting) only as it pertains to Part 2 of City Council's decision.

Staff recommended

Councillor Ana Bailão, seconded by Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam, recommends that: 1. City Council delete Part 2 of its decision on Item 2020.PH16.4 and adopt instead the following: 2. City Council resolve that, notwithstanding Section 4-2 of the Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 4, Adjustment, Committee of, and By-law 1134-2019, all members appointed to the Committee of Adjustment shall be deemed to be cross-appointed
