The purpose of this report is to seek Council authority to temporarily close the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) ramps at Eglington Avenue East for a period of up to two weekends in August 2021 to facilitate road paving work on Eglinton Avenue East as part of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project. The annual DVP Fall maintenance closure is planned on the weekend of August 6 to 9, 2021 with the alternative scheduled weekend of August 13 to 16, 2021.

Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is planning to utilize the City DVP maintenance closure to perform the road paving work, thus avoiding the need for an additional closure of the DVP ramps. However, in the event of cancellation of the City maintenance closure or inclement weather, additional closure of the ramps will be required to accomplish the work.
