Our office continues to receive frequent communication from residents close to 953 Wilson Ave. construction regarding the operations undertaken at the construction aggregate processing facility. The lot was zoned industrial employment before the 1970's and since, several neighbourhoods have developed on its surroundings. Over the last couple of years, the site has been used by a company that stores and transports different construction aggregates to and from sites around the GTA.

The storing of these aggregates have amounted to an approximately 18 meters tall hill that can be seen from several blocks away. The aggregates are then blown away by the wind across several neighbourhoods. The lessee in charge of the storing and transportation operations had previously promised to reduce the size of the construction aggregates mound. The remaining aggregates were also to be relocated to an enclosed storage facility expected to be built on site. So far no progress has been made by the lessee on any of the previously mentioned solutions.
