As the city filed it

For many years the volunteer-run Trinity Bellwoods Farmers Market has been an essential local source of fresh, sustainable, naturally grown and organic agriculture. Every year the market obtains their parking permit from the City for their vendors to be able to park adjacent to Trinity Bellwoods Park along Shaw Street and Dundas Street West. However, over the last number of years, the number of spaces they have been able to access have been reduced due to the installation of designated Zipcar parking spaces, and later electric vehicle charging stations on Shaw Street.

Now, this year, there will be construction on Dundas Street West preventing them from accessing parking for their vendors. In order to open up more parking for the farmers market, I am requesting that the two Zipcar spaces be relocated to Shaw Street north of Dundas Street West. Shaw Street north of Dundas Street West is within Permit Parking Area 4E, which is currently at 56% capacity.
