On the agenda

As the city filed it

This Motion is urgent as phases two and three of the revitalization of Lawrence Heights are currently going through the preliminary Request for Proposal process and are about to go to tender. There is an urgent need to ensure that the next phases of the project include a community safety hub. This space would be available for use by Lawrence Heights Residents groups to hold meetings and also as a location for the local community police officers to share and exchange information with members of the community.

This hub could be a stand-alone space or incorporated into the new, planned community centre for Lawrence Heights. With the expansion of the Community Crisis Support Service City-wide, this community hub could be made available for use by the team that will service Lawrence Heights in future.
