As the city filed it

My office was advised about repeat parking and illegal stopping situation at the driveway of 192 Jarvis that is seriously impacting the residents of this building. Customers from J San Sushi, the adjacent restaurant, are constantly parking their cars in front of this specific driveway to go pick up their takeout. As a result, residents from 192 Jarvis are unable to access their residential building because vehicles are blocking the driveway.

Residents report that they must wait for extended periods of time until they are able to enter the building as it is dependent upon vehicles moving from the driveway. Even more problematic is the fact that residents are forced to ask customers and Uber drivers who are parked or stopped in front of the driveway to move their vehicles. Unfortunately, I have been advised that the residents have experienced troubling and problematic behaviour when requesting drivers to move from the driveway. The situation is serious and urgent, which can cause traffic impediments. Currently, this driveway does not have any signage installed that informs drivers that they cannot stop or park in the area. Given this situation, I am requesting that Transportation Staff install the appropriate signage to deter the blocking of the driveway.
