He retired in June 2020 after ten years as the General Manager of the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and Vice Chair of the Pacific National Exhibition. Prior to that he was the Director of Recreation for the City of Toronto, after 29 years of working in many inner city community centres and neighborhoods.
