As the city filed it
The Toronto Transit Commission bus route "88 South Leaside" operates in part west on Moore Avenue, south on Welland Avenue, and west on St. Clair Avenue East. The Toronto Transit Commission advises that their bus operators are experiencing difficulty making a westbound left-turn from Moore Avenue onto Welland Avenue because private vehicles are frequently parked on the west side of Welland Avenue, in close proximity to Moore Avenue.

This prevents buses from making this turn safely. Transportation Services, in consultation with the The Toronto Transit Commission, are recommending that stopping be prohibited at all times on the west side of Welland Avenue, between Moore Avenue and a point 43 metres further south. This will provide The Toronto Transit Commission bus operators with space to safely perform left turns, maintain unobstructed two-way traffic flow, and reduce the risk of collisions. This will improve traffic operations and safety for all road users. The area currently contains approximately 5 on-street parking spaces.
