As the city filed it
This fully-funded pedestrian safety enhancement project has the overall support of City staff and would connect people with the east and west sides of Allen Road through the establishment of new crosswalks. It would also allow for access to the east side of Allen Road, which is not currently accessible to pedestrians, through the creation of a sidewalk leading from Sheppard Avenue West to Rimrock Road. At the July 19, 2022 city council meeting, item IE31.25 was adopted with an amendment directing staff to present a report to the first North York Community Council meeting of this year with detailed design and construction plans.
