As the city filed it
On March 14th, the City of Toronto released its first report on the Housing Action Plan. It's a bold plan that focuses on the direct interventions necessary to meet our housing targets, secure affordability, and respond to the generational housing crisis in front of us today. In response to the recent release of the Housing Accelerator Fund, I want to ensure that Toronto submits an application at the earliest opportunity.

With the support of our federal partners, this program will helping us unlock new affordable homes, build the infrastructure needed to support complete communities, and meet the ambitious housing targets that we've set for ourselves in the Housing Action Plan. It's never been more unaffordable to live in Toronto than it is today. Whether you're a senior looking to age in the community, a millennial trying to move out of your parents' basement, or a newcomer looking to find a first home, ensuring folks have access to affordable housing options must be our top priority. Let's keep moving forward, together.
