The decision

2023-04-04 · North York Community Council · adopted

As filed

North York Community Council: 1. Reduced the speed limit from 50 kilometres per hour to 40 kilometres per hour on Eccleston Drive, between Sloane Avenue and the west end of Eccleston Drive.

On the agenda

As the city filed it

Eccleston Drive is a local road with two way traffic extending west from Sloane Avenue to a dead end. The speed limit for roads of similar nature in the vicinity is 40 km/h. I have heard from concerned residents about vehicles regularly exceeding the speed limit on Eccleston Drive and I am requesting that the speed limit be reduced from 50 km/h to 40 km/h, to bring it in line with its other local roads in North York.

Staff recommended

Councillor Jon Burnside recommends that: 1. North York Community Council reduce the speed limit from 50 km/h to 40 km/h on Eccleston Drive, between Sloane Avenue and the west end of Eccleston Drive.
