The safety of pedestrians and drivers in our neighbourhoods is an issue that inspires my residents to write, call, and email on a daily basis. One such location is at the intersection of Adra Grado Way and Okra Tomar Crescent in the Leslie Nymark neighbourhood, commonly known as the Villaways. Adra Grado Way is a short road at the south end of the Villaways that forms a closed loop "P" shape with Okra Tomar Crescent. This design has led to several road safety issues that threaten the safety and peacefulness of the neighbourhood.

Residents have reported that cars, dirt bikes, and go karts have been used to race around the loop formed by Adra Grado Way and Okra Tomar Crescent. This usage poses a danger to all residents, regardless of whether they drive, walk, play or work in the area. In response to the concerns from residents, and with the support of the Transportation Services department, we are requesting that traffic calming measures be installed to improve pedestrian and road safety along Adra Grado Way and Okra Tomar Crescent.
