As the city filed it
At our the June 20th meeting of North York Community Council, my motion was passed for new parking regulations and the installation of new parking signs along St. Clements Avenue between Yonge Street and Duplex Avenue. These changes were necessary to accommodate the opening of a new school at the southwest corner of Yonge Street and St Clements since there were already two schools on the same block. These changes were requested by the community and existing schools in order to ensure the orderly and efficient pick-up and drop-off for students, as well as their parents and residents of the area.

Since these changes were made, the third school indicated that it would no longer open as planned. Given this development and with the support of the residents and existing schools, I would request that North York Community Council approve re-opening this item in order to rescind the previously approved motion and revert to the pre-existing parking regulations. Furthermore, the approved motion placed the permitted parking spaces at the west end of the block, near Duplex, when they should have been closer to Yonge Street. This difference resulted in increased difficulty for local residents while accessing their driveways.
