As the city filed it
Last night Waterfront Toronto has a very well attended meeting regarding Affordable Housing on the Portlands and the city's new goal of 30%. There was overwhelming support for the goal of a minimum of 30% affordable housing in this new neighbourhood, with most residents wanting the percentage increased. There was a discussion of a potential number of acres available for affordable housing on the north side of the Keating Channel.

There is an existing precinct plan for Keating and the city does own a number of acres on the north side of the channel. Given the interest in affordable housing it would be helpful if our CEO could have a discussion with WaterfronToronto CEO to determine if any options exist to increase affordable housing in Keating North.
