Many residents in the Regent Park neighbourhood have reached out to my office regarding parking tickets being issued on Fridays during prayer times at local mosques. In order for the City of Toronto to champion equity, we must provide accommodation for all faiths, not just those observed on Sunday mornings. The city doesn't charge for parking on Sunday mornings until 1:00pm in most neighbourhoods. We have marginalised groups in our community whose needs must be addressed.

This is the first step to a larger process that I want to undertake across the city to support multi-faith institutions including but not limited to mosques, synagogues and temples.
