The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Endorsed, in principle, the modification of Hallam Street between Dufferin Street and the recently implemented Bartlett Street Cycling Connection to accommodate dedicated cycling facilities.

In March of 2020, Toronto and East York Community Council directed Transportation Services to conduct a safety and operational review of Hallam Street, between Dufferin Street and Ossington Avenue. Temporary safety improvements for vulnerable road users and a long term vision for the future of Hallam Street were requested. Staff have examined traffic volumes, speeds, collision history, stop compliance and cycling facility
