The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Directed the General Manager, Transportation Services, in consultation with the local City Councillor, to have the appropriate Transportation Services staff attend a follow up site visit meeting with the local City Councillors, Toronto District School Board Trustees, School Principal, School Parent Council, Michael Garron Hospital staff, Toronto Police Service, Emergency Medical Services and Toronto Fire Services.

Requested that Transportation Services keep the local Councillor's office updated on the timeline for the relocation of the southwest corner Toronto Transit Commission bus shelter and include these updates in any subsequent reports about intersection safety at Coxwell Avenue and Mortimer Avenue.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. Toronto and East York Community Council requested Transportation Services to relocate the existing Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) bus shelter on the southwest corner of Coxwell Avenue and Mortimer Avenue in order to provide more space for pedestrians. In addition, staff were requested to investigate the placement of a second school crossing guard at this intersection.
