City Council on May 10, 11 and 12, 2023, adopted the following: 1. City Council authorize the installation of traffic control signals at the intersection of Bloor Street West and Pauline Avenue/Collegiate Road. 2. City Council authorize the removal of the existing pedestrian crossover on Bloor Street West immediately east of Pauline Avenue, in conjunction with the installation of the traffic control signals as set out in Part 1 above.

As the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates a transit service on Bloor Street West, City Council approval of this report is required. As per conditions of approval for the development at 1141 Bloor Street West, 980 Dufferin Street and 90 Croatia Street, the existing pedestrian crossover (PXO) at Bloor Street, immediately east of Pauline Avenue, is to be replaced with traffic control signals at the intersection of Bloor Street West and Pauline Avenue/Collegiate Road.

Collegiate Road is a new public road that is being constructed on the south side of Bloor Street West. Transportation Services supports the installation of traffic control signals at the intersection of Bloor Street West and Pauline Avenue/Collegiate Road.

The Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. City Council authorize the installation of traffic control signals at the intersection of Bloor Street West and Pauline Avenue/Collegiate Road. 2. City Council authorize the removal of the existing pedestrian crossover on Bloor Street West immediately east of Pauline Avenue, in conjunction with the installation of the traffic control signals as set out in Recommendation 1 above.
