As the city filed it

I am writing to request your support in directing Traffic Operations Staff to install a speed hump on Winona Drive before the intersection with Earlsdale Avenue. Local residents and concerned parents reach out to both my office and Councillor Bravo's office, advising that this intersection should have additional traffic calming measures. There is a stop sign, but as this section of Winona Drive is one-way and downhill between Vaughan Road and St.

Clair Avenue, there are many vehicles passing through - many of which fail to stop properly. At a site visit with concerned residents, my staff were informed that a speed hump prior to the intersection would be a start in getting adequate traffic calming measures at this intersection.

Staff recommended

It is recommended that: 1. Toronto and East York Community Council waive the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorize the installation of additional traffic calming (speed humps) on Winona Drive, between Vaughan Road and Earlsdale Avenue. 2. Toronto and East York Community Council direct the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway on Winona Drive, between Vaughan Road and Earlsdale Avenue, to install one speed hump.
