The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Waived the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorized the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Aldwych Avenue, between Pape Avenue and Woodycrest Avenue. 2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter the roadway to install three speed humps on Aldwych Avenue, between Pape Avenue and Woodycrest Avenue, generally as shown on Attachment 1 to the letter (October 16, 2023) from Councillor Paula Fletcher.

Aldwych Avenue is an east-west residential street in East York. I have heard from local residents concerned about speeding on their street, requesting that speed humps be installed. After polling residents of Aldwych Avenue, 77% of residents support the installation of speed humps. This letter includes recommendations to improve safety on the street by installing speed humps.
