City Council on December 13, 14 and 15, 2023, adopted the following: 1. City Council amend Zoning By-law 569-2013 for the lands at 8-18 Camden Street substantially in accordance with the draft Zoning By-law Amendment included as Attachment 1 to the supplementary report (December 12, 2023) from the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning. 2. City Council determine that the revisions reflected in the draft Zoning By-law Amendment included as Attachment 1 to the supplementary report (December 12, 2023) from the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning are minor in nature and, pursuant to Section 34(17) of the Planning Act, no further public notice is required in respect of the revisions within the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.

3. City Council approve an amendment to Schedule B of the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 925, Permit Parking, to exclude the development located at 8-18 Camden Street and any other addresses for the development at 8-18 Camden Street from Permit Parking Area 6E or from permit parking on Camden Street .

This report reviews and recommends approval of the application to amend the Zoning By-law to permit a 19-storey (58.15 metres including the mechanical penthouse) mixed-use building with 191 dwelling units and 308 square metres of retail space on the ground floor. The proposed development would result in a built form that fits within the existing and planned context.

Staff recommended

The Director, Community Planning Toronto and East York District recommends that: 1. City Council amend Zoning By-law 569-2013, for the lands at 8-18 Camden Street, substantially in accordance with the draft Zoning By-law Amendment, included as Attachment No. 5 to this report. 2. City Council authorize the City Solicitor to make such stylistic and technical changes to the draft Zoning By-law Amendment as may be required.
