City Council on March 20 and 21, 2024, adopted the following: 1. City Council appoint David McIsaac as the Interim Controller, and in turn to the statutory office of Deputy Treasurer of the City of Toronto, for the purposes of section 138 of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, effective the latter of March 22, 2024, or such date when David McIsaac enters into an employment contract for the position of Interim Controller and until such time as a new Controller has been appointed.

The purpose of this report is to recommend to City Council the appointment of an Interim Controller. This is a time sensitive matter as the current Controller, Andrew Flynn, retired from the City of Toronto effective March 12, 2024 and an interim appointment must be in place before the next Council meeting, currently scheduled for April 17, 18 and 19, 2024.
