This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. Transportation Services is recommending that the existing parking prohibition on the south side of Fairfield Avenue, between a point 31 metres west of Twenty Fourth Street and a point 12 metres west thereof, be relocated approximately 35 metres west. The proposed amendment will adjust parking regulations to reflect the current location of garbage/recycle access point for 6 Twenty Fourth Street and will deter vehicles from parking and blocking the new access point.

During the course of the investigation, it was noted that there is a discrepancy between posted signs and the existing parking regulations. Recommendation 5 will correct this inconsistency.
