As filed

The Scarborough Community Council: 1. Authorized an increase to the speed limit on Galloway Road between Kingston Road and the Canadian National Rail tracks from 30 kilometres per hour to 40 kilometres per hour.

On the agenda

As the city filed it

On Galloway Road between Lawrence Avenue East and the Canadian National Rail tracks the speed limit has been reduced to 30 km per hour. South of these rail tracks the speed limit increases to 40 km/h. Increasing the speed limit to 40 km per hour on this collector road provides a consistent speed limit on Galloway Road between Kingston Road and Guildwood Parkway. Pedestrian safety on this segment of Galloway Road is addressed with the Pedestrian Crosswalk at Galloway Road and Coronation Drive, which is further enhanced with the presence of a School Crossing Guard.
