The decision

As filed

The Scarborough Community Council: 1. Authorized the installation of a pedestrian crossover (PXO) on Brimorton Drive at Gatineau Hydro Corridor Trail.

On the agenda

As the city filed it

Currently, The Gatineau Hydro Corridor trail crosses Brimorton Drive with no crossing protection. The trail is well used by many pedestrians and cyclist who cross Brimorton Drive unprotected. Additionally, in the absence of a pedestrian crossover, there can be conflicts between motorists and those wishing to cross Brimorton Drive to continue the trail. The installation of a pedestrian crossover at this location will provide crossing protection as well as give motorists a visual warning of people crossing the road before they arrive at the trail.
