The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Authorized the installation of speed humps on Hassard Avenue, between O'Connor Drive and Woodville Avenue. 2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter the roadway for the installation of two speed humps on Hassard Avenue, between O'Connor Drive and Woodville Avenue, generally as shown on Attachment 2 to the report (April 19, 2024) from the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. Transportation Services has reviewed the need for speed humps on Hassard Avenue, between O'Connor Drive and Woodville Avenue. The assessment indicates the warrant criteria as set out in the updated Traffic Calming Policy has not been satisfied. Therefore, staff do not recommend the installation of speed humps on Hassard Avenue.

Staff recommended

The Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. Toronto and East York Community Council not authorize the installation of speed humps on Hassard Avenue, between O'Connor Drive and Woodville Avenue.
