This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. Transportation Services is recommending implementing parking regulations on Ambleside Avenue and Chartwell Road, in the area near Castlebar Junior School to provide areas for short term parking for parents/guardians to accompany students to and from the school, improve safety and reduce congestion in the area by prohibiting stopping opposite the school.

The Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. Etobicoke York Community Council prohibit parking at all times on the north side of Ambleside Avenue, between Aberlady Road and a point 20 metres east. 2. Etobicoke York Community Council authorize parking for a maximum period of 10 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the north side of Ambleside Avenue, between a point 20 metres east of Aberlady Road and a point 80 metres further east.
