At the July 2022 City Council meeting, City Council adopted the Commemorative Framework to provide additional guidance to support members of the public, Elected Officials, and City staff when naming and renaming streets and City properties in a commemorative manner, and when considering proposals to develop new and review existing commemorative monuments. Parks and Recreation, along with Economic Development and Culture Division, worked in collaboration with Strategic Partnerships and the local Councillor to consult with the family of Jordon Carter.
