This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. Transportation Services is recommending that the existing 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday parking prohibition on the west side of Varna Drive, between Ranee Avenue and the north end of the street, be amended to a one-hour maximum parking limit during these times. The proposed change will provide short-term parking for nearby businesses and residents.

The Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. North York Community Council rescind the existing parking prohibition in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on both sides of Varna Drive, between Ranee Avenue and the north end of Varna Drive. 2. North York Community Council prohibit parking from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the east side of Varna Drive, between a point 30.5 metres north of Ranee Avenue and the north end of Varna Drive.
