City Council on October 8 and 9, 2025, adopted the following: 1. City Council rescind the pedestrian crossover on York Mills Road, immediately east of Ness Drive and install all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of York Mills Road and Ness Drive.

As the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates a transit service on York Mills Road, City Council approval of this report is required. Transportation Services is requesting approval to remove the pedestrian crossover (PXO) on York Mills Road immediately east of Ness Drive and install all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of York Mills Road and Ness Drive. Based on the assessment undertaken, the installation of all-way stop control is recommended and should enhance safety for all road users.

The Director, Enforcement and Streets Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. City Council rescind the pedestrian crossover on York Mills Road, immediately east of Ness Drive and install all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of York Mills Road and Ness Drive.
