This Report recommends approval of the application to amend the Zoning By-law to permit the development of 2 single-storey industrial warehouse buildings with ancillary office uses on currently vacant lands at 5705 and 5789 Steeles Avenue East. The proposed development is consistent with the Provincial Planning Statement (2024). It would contribute to the employment intensification on an underutilized site, and generate new employment opportunities on lands that are designated General Employment Areas in the City of Toronto Official Plan.
