On the agenda
As the city filed it
I am writing to ask for your support in my request to direct Transportation Services to make necessary adjustments to the new sidewalk installation outside of 7A, 7B and 7C Austin Terrace to allow on-street parking again on Austin Terrace. I fully support expanding sidewalk networks and connectivity. I also believe such installations must be implemented in partnership with local residents. My office has heard that, while public notice was given of the installation to nearby residents, the expected results of the installation, such as loss of on-street parking, was not adequately shared.

The sidewalk's configuration has resulted in a loss of neighbourhood parking and has severely impacted local residents. Cars continue to park outside of 7A, 7B, and 7C Austin Terrace, which has led to bottlenecks in traffic and nearby residents being unable to exit their driveways.
